Random Thoughts from the Sandwich Life

1.  Who on earth thought the PBS show Spain-On the Road Again was a good idea?  It's absolutely amazing to me how unappealing I find it.  It doesn't make want to go there, it doesn't make me even want to eat the food and  it really makes me not want to hang out with these people.  I guess between Mario Batali, Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Bittman it seemed like it couldn't miss but I sure think it misses.  Maybe I'm alone but geesh... Actually I've never been particularly fond of Paltrow but she is definitely the most appealing of the bunch---if only it seemed as though she truly ate.....

2.  A colleague of Judi's sent me some pictures that she had found in Judi's office (Thanks Lynne!).  I'm thrilled with them.  Some I remember seeing but some, like the one below, I don't recall.  They are all from before I was born.  Look at my handsome father with Debbie and Judi!

3.  Vertebrats Alert: looks like the reunion will be September 25 and 26---tentatively at the Cowboy Monkey and Highdive respectively.  And with Roy this time!  Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU guys----something to look forward to!!  Can you book babysitters 9 months in advance? I think I'll try....

4.  Ernie is going to bring my mother over for lunch with Judi today.  It's important because I don't know how much longer Judi will be able to make it downstairs....  I hope it goes well---between getting Judi downstairs and comfortable and getting my mother and her wheelchair into the house---with snow, etc.  Let's just say my husband is a saint.....well, some of the time anyway.....

5.  Owen and I had time to kill while we were waiting for his new glasses....and I'm still a sucker for photo machines....
