I THINK we may have had a GOOD doctor's appointment!

Went to see Dr. Sapiente today.  Because I am SO over the positive thinking thing I was a bit anxious.  He walked into the room and immediately said, "I don't have any more bad news for you today.....I just wanted to get that out right away." May I say I love him---bad news or good news?  He said it looked like the cancer was confined to the one area we biopsied.  He told Ernie he had some other problems with his spine but they weren't cancer.  Ernie seemed a bit offended at the idea of bulging discs but I was just like WHO THE FUCK CARES ABOUT BULGING DISCS---IT'S NOT C.A.N.C.E.R!!!!!!

Then Ernie went and got his radiation simulation done as I sat and power-browsed a couple of Architectural Digests.  I sat there and had this unfamiliar sensation.....and then I realized I was HAPPY!  And it felt freaking GREAT!

AND his radiation won't start for a week to ten days so he can still do the antique show he was hoping to do. 

And maybe the boys and I will go up and stay with him for part of the weekend. 

And it's Friday.

And it's in the 70's.

And the boys are playing with Ricky.

And we're sitting in our front yard and Ernie is reading the paper and I'm doing this....

and....we feel GOOD!
