A Lazy Saturday....

We were going to head down to the antique show in Arthur today as it's a good show and we often buy there but this morning neither of us felt like it.  We're still feeling a little discombobulated....yesterday's visit was better than expected but we still kind of feel as though we're floating in some kind of fog.

Last night we sat in the front yard around the fire, chatting with our neighbors.  It all felt so good----warm air, a glass of wine, watching the boys play some kind of army game complete with backpacks and nerf guns, watching the flames.....it was just what we needed.

This morning I thought maybe I would start working on clearing Judi's room out.  I went upstairs and of course ended up just sitting in the room, paging through cards and letters and looking at old photo albums.  I felt such sadness.  I miss her so much.  Some of the pictures made me smile though.  Finally I decided maybe I just wasn't ready to clear her room out yet....

As I walked downstairs the phone was ringing and I heard Leo answer it and then, in his soft little husky voice, he said, "No, she died a couple of weeks ago" and hung up.  I asked him who it was and he said he didn't know----that they'd just asked if Judi was there.  To have him him just matter of factly say that she had died and hang up the phone threw me a bit.  God knows who it was.....it might have been Carle.  They called the other day but I can't pay them until we get going with settling the estate...but hell....shouldn't they KNOW she died?  I'll go see the lawyer this week and get things moving.  Weird, just weird.

5.  Leo just explained to me the game they were playing last night.  They were playing Confederates vs. the Union and the adults were the Confederates......
