Zoladex and Casodex and Zometa Oh My and Other Notes

1.  Why do the drug companies like x's and z's so much?  Ernie and I went to see Dr. Graham today to see what could be done drug wise to slow things down.  In addition to the Zoladex injections he gets every three months, he will now take Casodex daily and get Zometa infusions once a month.  Which led me to wonder why the drug companies like the end of the alphabet so much?

I asked the doctor how long that regimen should work---assuming that it works (which I realize is sort of an impossible question).  He said it could be a matter of years or a matter of months but that this is the first of many options.  Is my stomach nauseous from being sick yesterday or from life in general?

2.  Owen was MOST unhappy about going back to school after spring break.  Ernie almost exploded when Owen said he didn't feel well and didn't think he could go to school.  He was a bit on edge about his appointment today as I was....so I sent Ernie back into the kitchen and got Owen to agree to go to school if I would walk him.  Once we're out of the house he's perfectly fine.  He held my hand and worked very hard to avoid every crack or line (to save my back and Ernie's spine). 

3.  Sarah Head had a great suggestion about watching Marco Pierre White's shows on the British channel Itv online but after playing around on the website I found that you have to be in the UK.  sigh.  The first few episodes of The Chopping Block are available on hulu.com so maybe they'll eventually put the others on.  The Anthony Bourdain inspired sitcom which just ran a few episodes is on there....
