Is this REALLY what he meant?
So I'm all supportive of Green Day refusing to make an edited 'clean' version of their new cd for Wal-Mart. I totally agree----whenever Ernie goes to Wal-Mart I mutter about him going over to the dark side. But then again, I also think that if Wal-Mart doesn't want to sell stuff with language or content they don't like well...so be it. I may not agree but hey, I'm not Wal-Mart.
What struck me as the oddest thing in the article I read however, was the quote from Green Day's bassist Mike Dirnt (and as some of you know I'm generally quite the fan of bass players). He said, "As the biggest record store in theAmerica, they should probably have an obligation to sell people thecorrect art."
uh....the CORRECT art?
Is that really what he meant to say?
I wonder what CORRECT art is?
