Random Notes from the Sandwich Life

1.  When Owen and I got home from the wedding last Saturday we were both a bit tired.  As he tugged off his tie he asked, "Is this what it's like to be a grown up?  You get all dressed up and go out and come back hours later and you're really tired?" 

God that boy is brilliant....

2.  More peonies....

3.  Watching the American Idol finale was an incredibly surreal experience.  I giggled and giggled.  When Rod Stewart rose up through the floor I ran to get another glass of wine because really, what else can you do?  Owen was of course very sad that Adam didn't win because hey, his name is ADAM for god's sake....  Leo ignored the whole thing.

5.  We have an official Amy Rigby date....Friday, July 31st!  It didn't work out for both Amy and Wreckless Eric to come so it will be Amy by herself.  Although part of me is disappointed to not have Eric it makes for more Amy so hey.....it's a good thing.  Mark it on your calendars!
