More Random Notes.....

1.  Hurrah for wild salmon season!!  Last night:  roasted wild salmon on a bed of green lentils with asparagus and carmelized onion.

2.  I'm having a musical drought.  Nothing sounds good to me.  Help.

3.  Cucumber seeds are up, zinnia seeds are up, lettuce seeds are up, kale and swiss chard doing nicely....only thing not up are my nasturtium seeds and they always seem to take awhile.

4.  My boys sent me flowers for mother's day early.

5.  The boys are busily working on constructing a city from Lego.  Leo built a jail (natch) and they seem to be working jointly on a hospital.  Owen created a pump with chains hanging from it that he said was for pumping up blood sugar and I was all excited that he had come up with a cure for diabetes but then upon further questioning I believe it is for checking blood pressure.  Leo has placed the hospital next to the train tracks because as he said, "most accidents happen near train tracks."

6.  My mother, who had actually seemed open to assisted living has shut down once again on that possibility.  Whatever.  I try not to say whatever.....but whatever.....

7.  Wish me luck on staying up late tonight!  Pathetic I know....
