Owen: Mom, what was it like when you were a little girl? Did you have TV's?
Me: Yes, we had TV's Owen....
Owen, interrupting me and scrunching up his face: Yeah, but even when you were REALLY little, like 5?
Me: YES Owen....I'm not THAT old....
Owen: Well, Daddy is....
Me: Well......just get dressed Owen.....
Leo: Does this shirt fit?
Me: Ohhhhh, you look SO handsome----that's wonderful...
Leo: I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF IT FITS.
Me: Is it comfortable?
Leo: Yes
Me: Then it fits
Leo smiles sweetly and kisses me
Me: I'm SO sorry about spilling my coffee milk on the Fountains of Wayne cd booklet. I'm really, really sorry. (I mean I try not come between Ernie and his music)
Ernie, looking at me somewhat blankly: That's o.k.
Me: Really?
Ernie: Cynthia, it's not as though it's a record.....it's just a cd.....
Owen: Mom, I'm just going to ask you. Should I get married when I grow up?
Me: Yes, Owen, I think you would be a wonderful husband.
Owen: Well, I thought maybe I shouldn't because if I had a daughter when she got married I wouldn't know what to say at her wedding.
Me: Somehow Owen, I have no doubt that you will know what to say.
Ernie: If you get married though, we're really going to warn that woman.
Owen: About what?
Me: About how wonderful you are honey, about how wonderful you are. Now please put your backpack on and go to school.....
