Couple of Random Notes and a Chance for Free Frozen Yogurt....

1.  Lisa, at my beloved Champaign Taste, has a contest up-----go write a haiku about frozen yogurt and wine a gift certificate for the new Cocomero on campus.  I proudly admit that yours truly is one of the judges.....so entertain me (I wanted to make some kind of Nirvana entertain us reference but I restrained myself....kind of)!  Check it out here.....

2.  Last night I got home from work just in time to kiss Owen and Ernie goodbye as they headed off to Eisner Park for a hot dog and some baseball.  Leo was busy making a video with Ricky (details to follow) and you know what?  I found myself ALONE.  Huh....weird.  I looked at my new Food and Wine, drank a glass of wine, thought about doing something productive, decided against it, watched the news on tv all by myself.  It was nice but then I began to miss everybody.  Luckily Owen zoomed up on his bike at that very moment.  He had done a Huber's run and brought a bag of Cheetos for Leo and a bag of their peanuts for me.  He gave them to me, gave me a kiss and dashed off on his bike back to the park.  It's moments like that....

3.  Leo was VERY excited about the video he and Ricky made.  You might want to take a look at it and click through to rate it....or even leave a comment.....he was so happy he could barely fall asleep last night....

and please note that is our upstairs hallway....you know the one where I actually try to walk to get to my bedroom or God forbid even the bathroom without tripping over Lego.  And no, we never did replace the quarter round after we pulled the carpeting up....one day....

4.  And another video....  This is what happens when you send your son out for an evening with Don Gerard.  I might proudly note however that Don said Owen mastered it extremely quickly....
