Another first day of school....

My mother always sewed a first day of school dress for us.  The boys just get new shirts and shorts from Target....

Meet the teacher night went well last night....or at least as was expected.....Leo wouldn't really say much or smile....Owen was quite chipper, happy to see Mr. Hansen and was excited to put his school supplies in his desk.

Leo put his shirt on inside out this morning and absolutely refused to change it.  REFUSED.  I tried asking various ways----because it's the first day of school.....can you please do it for me....etc.  His response each time was...."I DON'T care."  Short of tackling him and ripping it off him there was little I could do so I finally said something to the effect of...."okaaayyyyyyyy."  I guess if he truly wants his shirt inside out.....well hell.....he can have his shirt inside out.....  My sweet pea.

as Ernie heads off with them....this might be the last year that he walks them to their first day....and so it goes.....
