Hanging In There....

Another day at the hospital.  It's gorgeous outside and of course by all rights I should be at work for a special event.

 

To update:  my mother's kidneys are much better which is great news.  Unfortunately her breathing is still very difficult even though they've got a ton of fluid out of her.  We're playing the balance game----try to keep enough fluid in her for her kidneys to work----but not enough fluid to get her congestive heart failure going.  Right now she's got a fever and is kind of agitated.  I wish I could keep her calm.

The nurses and techs have been tremendous so I give Carle Foundation Hospital high marks for that.  Some of them have really been exceptional.....and kind as well.  Kindness really helps.

It's been a bit of a rollercoaster as these things often are.  Rightnow I don't feel like we're heading up or down....we're just at thestation now sure where we go next.....
