Saturday
I had come up with a plan of shopping here, looking at candy canes there and lunch over there....but then the boys got all excited about bundling up and running around in the field with a friend and I decided that really trumped everything else.
Ernie's in the kitchen doing baking some cheese wafers and blaring Alan Jackson's Christmas album. I'm sitting in the living room making lists and looking at recipes on the computer.
I had a good visit with my mother today. She is coming home from the nursing home on Wednesday. I have my misgivings but it's what we are doing. I guess we'll see, huh?
I love the back of the Kuhn's building that says 'Unmatched in 118 1/2 miles.' How can you NOT love that?
The view from our porch.....and at night if I lay just the right way in bed I can see the lights on Dave's front porch from there too....
We had never harvested the last of our carrots from Leo's garden. Yesterday Ernie went and pulled them all....and just look....aren't they gorgeous?
So I should be racing around finishing shopping or wrapping presents or baking or making lists.....but instead I'm sitting here with my husband looking at the Christmas trees and chatting. My life IS good. Don't be fooled by the complaining I do here sometimes.....my life is very, very good.
Whaddya say I make him build a fire?
