My daughter, Lily is 6 years old–she is a wonderful littlegirl with special needs and she requires some assistance with mostactivities.  Lily is a smart,intuitive child who is overflowing with personality.  She attends Barkstall Elementary in Champaign forkindergarten from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and spends most of he time in thespecial education program . . . she loves school! Lily’s troubles aremanifested in her weak muscles and coordination problems (generalized hypotonia& global apraxia).

We are searchingfor an aide for after-school care in our home!

This position involves picking Lily up from school andtaking he to our home (must have your own car!).  Then you’ll be assisting he with a snack, playtime, andbathroom tips­–maybe even some therapy. She loves videos, music, books, and playing outside.

We need someone tostart right away.  The positionwill be weekdays M – F from 3-5:30 p.m. at $10.00/hour (plus mileage) andopportunities for overtime.  Regularconversation with parents/progress reports are required.  This is a positive, multi-faceted,rewarding opportunity for any student or paraprofessional who wants to learnabout and/or improve their skills for working with young children with specialneeds–not to mention the intangible rewards of working with our amazing littleLily.
