Monday Morning Coming Down
Monday again. Did I make the to-do list I swore I was going to do so we could get on top of things? Nope. It just felt nice to be lazy yesterday. Ernie and I went to Prairie Gardens and spent a small fortune on seeds but man oh man that is fun. Then we went back home and sat in the front yard in the sun with the seed packets planning where they should go. I vetoed going to lunch as I just wanted to be at home. I even sent Ernie off on his own later to see Bill Kirchen at the Rosebowl. I admit right before he left I played a couple of youtube videos and was cursing myself for not planning to go but once he took off I was perfectly happy to curl up on my own. I rounded up the guys early and got them in the shower so they'd be sweet smelling and then told them we were going upstairs to watch tv together in our bed. I read and let them watch King of the Hill. I listened with half an ear while I read to make sure it was o.k. but it was fine. They bounced around and chattered and then eventually Leo took off for his own room, turned out the light, Owen snuggled up to me and turned off the tv and I didn't have the heart or the energy to make him go to his own room so we dozed off together.
So Monday morning came too soon but I can't complain too much. It should be a good week....my friends Boo and Doug over for dinner tomorrow night and Thursday night our friends Heather and Steve have offered us tickets for the Artists Against Aids preview reception----I'm all excited!!!! And Friday is another furlough day----woo-hoooo! I won't think about all the work I still need to do at my mother's house. Speaking of that the appraisal came in way low....lower than I expected anyway so I'm kind of stumped as to what to do. We'll see.
Enough rambling.....off to work.....good Monday wishes all.....
