Infusions and Peonies
Back to the Cancer Center today for Ernie's infusion, injection and appointment with the oncologist. It's hard to believe it's time again. Looking outside right now though it looks like May---bright glowing greens everywhere. It seems as though winter were just yesterday---I don't understand why time continues to go faster and faster and faster.
Usually you get really good magazines at the Cancer Center which I figure is right....I mean fair is fair. Today? Bleak, bleak assortment of magazines. I ended up with the New Yorker and Us magazine and what I really needed was something somewhere in between. It was warm in there today too and Ernie and I both wanted to dose off during his infusion. We persevered though, he got his injection (it really is a MOST impressive needle) and we left. I sent him off to Fries and Peanuts to have a beer and I headed back to work. He's been having problems with one of his elbows for awhile and so he's going to have an MRI just to make sure that it's merely age or arthritis and nothing more....well....sinister I guess. We're not terribly worried but just want to make sure. Not that he enjoys MRIs in particular----I think he described them as kind of like a cross between Eraserhead and Kraftwerk.
The tree peonies are blooming.....they always bloom before the 'regular' peonies. Peonies are one of my favorite blooms. This is for those of you that chose to live in non-peony territory....and I'm talking to several of you Brandaburs.....
Oh, and by the way.....Ernies PSA?
Undetectable!
