Random Notes from the Sandwich Life

1.  In a rather embarrassing twist we found Amy Rigby's glasses that she'd lost at our house a mere 8 months after she asked us to look for them.  Sigh.  I almost didn't want to tell her.   It also shows you how often Owen's room gets a deep cleaning.....whoops!  So we shipped them off to France and have been watching the tracking....and watching.....and watching.  Ernie went to the post office on the 15th....they left the country on the 17th and there has been no word since.  I assume this is ash related but I'll really feel much better when they appear somewhere again....

2.  Do these look like scary Arthur Rackham trees or WHAT?

 

3.The other day Owen told me that he would be very bored if Iwasn’t his Mom.  I thankedhim.  He went on to explain that ifhe had a different mother and even if he loved her a lot it just wouldn’t be asgreat as having me for a mother.

Leo doesn’t say as much but he looks at me with those bigbrown eyes and thanks me for finding his Pendulum songs and charging up his mp3player late at night when he calls me from his bed panicked because heremembered it was low and he needs to have it charged up because for God’s sakehow would he manage to walk to school without it?  Well, it's pretty much the same thing.

4.  Look at my DIRT!  All enriched with compost...isn't it beautiful?  Ernie was rather tired last night.  In fact he hung out at the firepit with our neighbor Dave until evidently the sound of my voice yelling at Owen wafted through the neighborhood.  Whoops again....

 

5.  Artists Against Aids tonight with Heather and Steve.  Maybe I'll even go all out and put on mascara....

6.  Furlough day tomorrow!!!

7.  Everyone drink a toast to my friend Wendy because she had good news today.  I like my friends healthy! Woo-hoooooo!

 

8.  Oh, and have I ever posted this?  Life in the 80's....  Damn we were cute.....
