Feeling Peaceful

I felt good last night.  I got home and the boys were happy and running around....Ernie said they'd been frolicing like puppies together for most of their snow day.  Ernie didn't seem as tired as he has lately since he hadn't been packing and cleaning my parents' house all day.  The house was clean (ish) and trees looked beautiful and I didn't feel tired and bleary.  Ernie and I sat in the living room and talked about some things we want to work toward in the New Year and then about Christmas stuff and about how fun the party had been.  We headed into the kitchen and fussed with cooking dinner while we watched Christmas videos on youtube.  Then there was a new American Pickers on and we watched that....which gave me a chance to work on my eye rolling.  Leo joined us to watch Pawn Stars and Owen fell asleep on the couch.  Leo and I went upstairs to crawl into bed and read and Ernie stayed up and enjoyed watching some tv by himself.

It felt peaceful.  It felt really good and peaceful.

Here's a very dark video of Fats and Kristi Rose.  Next time when Ernie goes AWOL searching for an extension cord for another light I won't say, "oh, don't WORRY about it" as it was fine at the time but way too dark for videos.  Still sounds wonderful though.....starts out with Fats on the fiddle, then I Wonder As I Wander, the title track of their Christmas album and then the wonderful You Needs Me.
