Sandwich Life House Concert Update

Well, as I'm longing to be in Nashville this week for the AMAs....I'll do an update on our upcoming house concerts to remind myself that we have lots of music coming to us....

First up, on Friday, November 18, 2011, is Rod Picott and Amanda Shires.  This is going to pretty fabulous people.  Both of their recent albums, Shires' Carrying Lightning, and Picott's Welding Burns, did a stint on the Americana charts and they are both on my top of the year list.  We were so fortunate to see Rod when we were in Lubec, Maine this summer and he was absolutely wonderful....and I can't WAIT to see Amanda Shires.

Then, of course, it wouldn't seem like Christmas without our annual Fats Kaplin and Kristi Rose Holiday House Concert.  I am bringing back the cassoulet this year too!  This will be on Saturday, December 17, 2011.

And if you want to mark your calendars a little further in advance.....Eric Brace and Peter Cooper will be here on Friday, March 2, 2012!  We are HUGE fans of these guys and they are funny and charming as well as talented.

All of these are $20/$25 night of show.  Six pm for a potluck and music to follow.  Reservations are made once we have received payment.  You can mail us a check or drop off cash....or pay via PayPal to thesandwichlife at gmail.com.  All our welcome---feel free to pass the invite on to others you think might like it.  We have yet to sell out a show so don't be afraid....we want more music fans!!!  We don't do this just for ourselves, we really do it because we want to let others know about music we love.  Kids are free and so are mothers with kids under the age of 2 (not that the child has to be with you).  It's a slightly sexist rule but it's hard to get and see music when you've got a little one....  You can rsvp, get more info or leave comments at our Sandwich Life House Concerts facebook page.

....and for those friends of mine in Nashville this week....you better drink a toast to me while you listen to music I love!
