The Holidays with Fats Kaplin and Kristi Rose!

I ran into my friend Teri last night at Fries and Peanuts. We sat and talked and laughed. She confided that this is her favorite time of year....this space between Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can hug someone and say Happy Holidays but there's no burden yet of stress or completing all the holidays tasks you have planned. It just feels joyous. I couldn't have put it better myself.

And with that....let me announce our FOURTH ANNUAL KRISTI ROSE AND FATS KAPLIN HOLIDAY HOUSE CONCERT! This truly is always one of the best house concerts of the year. It feels as though Fats and Kristi Rose are coming home. In fact I keep thinking to myself how shocked they are going to be at how grown up some of the kids are....they won't believe it when they see Sophie and Owen. That's part of what the pleasure is----that they've been coming long enough that they are watching the kids grow up...but of course the music is what brings incredible joy. Fats and Kristi Rose seem so perfectly suited for Christmas music. Their Christmas album, which if you don't have you must buy this time,is very special and one that I often play far past the season. The sparkle of Kristi Rose's voice along side her charm, the joy of Fats' playing....I feel as though sharing them is one of the best gifts we have been able to give.
