I Got It. My Snow That Is.

I was supremely happy yesterday with the snow falling. It was so beautiful that even in my loud house you could feel the quiet of the snowfall. Owen came home from a depressing band practice (I adore that boy but as with all of us I guess, he is his own worst enemy) and asked if we could watch The Hobbit. I acquiesced because he was so sad...and Leo even watched the first hour with us. I was quite taken with the beginning but as it wore on....and on....and on....and ON and we moved into nonstop battles it wore a bit thin. That was o.k. though as I sat and obsessively watched the list of school closing grow until I could triumphantly report to the guys that they had a snow day. There was great celebration.

I went to the bed with the window above my head open a bit so I could feel a snowflake blow in now and then (poor Ernie) and hopefully looked out every time I woke up. Sure enough Ernie woke me up this morning to tell me that U of I classes were cancelled and that my boss had emailed about closing for the day. I HAVE A SNOW DAY!! I may have been more excited than the boys.

Owen and I went outside a little while ago and I must say...it's a whole different thing being outside...I knew there was a lot of snow but I didn't realize that there was SNOWWWWWWW!!!!!!

I guess we're still on for the cancer center later this afternoon. They aren't opening until noon so we'll check back then. I got Ernie's test results online and they freaked me out a bit until I realized that I think perhaps a different type of test/test report was used and it is probably fine. Just seeing a different number sent my adrenalin shooting but I think all is o.k.

Now I think I'll go finish my chile sauce that got interrupted by The Hobbit yesterday....because we have a WONDERFUL HOUSE CONCERT ON SATURDAY! Yes, I am yelling...and yes, I forgot to include the PayPal link in the email I sent out....but top right of this page it is....go ahead and click on it....
