Sherry Rich's Dakota Avenue....Lost Album with Jay Bennett and more! YES, YES, YES!

I am behind, behind, behind writing about our next house concert with Sherry Rich. I am WAY excited about this. If you could see Owen and Ernie sitting on the couch singing and bobbing their heads to the song Pandora Mink...well, you would be excited too.

Smart, strong, beautiful music from a woman I think I'm going to like a hell of a lot. I can't wait to meet her in person....as well as her husband Rick Plant who will be playing with her.

The short story is that she recorded an album in 1999 with Jay Bennett, other members of Wilco, and Al Perkins with help with some other people we like such as Owen's beloved Adam Schmitt. It never saw the light of day....life often gets in the way of our plans, as we all know too well. However, it's not too late because it's now been released and she is doing a tour. She's only doing 13 US dates and we are ONE of them! Thanks to Ed Burch for pointing her in our direction.

Don't, don't, don't miss this one! Mark your calendar...it's on a Thursday (July 18 to be exact) but it's summer and these don't go late. Of course bring your kids if you've got them...I think her 8 year old daughter will be here so bring some company for her! I think my beloved Sue Davis has plans for another pop up...we'll see..I will keep you updated!
