Random Notes from the Sandwich Life

1. I'm irritable but really trying to fight it. But really...WHY IS THE DISHWASHER ALWAYS OPEN?

2. And cupboard doors?

3. Can't figure out whether Owen has truly been disinvited to a party or not or how to handle it. Perhaps it's a good thing I didn't have girls. I remember enough drama from my childhood girlness...I think I'd probably kill them.

4. We're all going to the Lego movie later, and then lunch. This should either make me happy or put me over the edge.

5. I made an outrageously good dinner last night which I might just file away for a house concert.

6. I'm thinking jambalaya though for Rod Picott. What do you think? Mardi Gras season and all that...

7. I still have Val's crockpot from the Christmas party. Geesh. Sorry Val.

8. Well, hell, I just returned Paul's tamale pot from almost a year ago.

9. If you've left stuff at my house please tell me. Otherwise it sits in a pile on my counter until I get irritable enough to just shove it in a cupboard....probably one with the DOOR LEFT OPEN.

10. The whole team skating thing in the Olympics is strangely not compelling even though I like watching skating.

11. The winter Olympics always make me think of my mother. We would curl up and watch it together while we embroidered. Huh. Long time ago.

12. Yesterday we ordered two additional slide out shelves for my cabinet that I keep spices, etc. in. I've wanted two more since we first got it ten years ago. I'm thinking this will solve all my angst and my life will be perfect now.

13. I love GFS. Things in huge cans always delight me.

14. I don't get why the Carol Ammons questionable degree issue is being so ignored...and why Esther Patt can bash Erik Jacobsson for his tone when, although he may be making a statement no supporter of Ammons would like, has been nothing but professional/polite in his statements. Lord people irritate me. This is why I was a Brownie drop out and would never make a politician myself.

15. O.k. Let's watch some Rod Picott and we'll ALL feel better.

16. Time to get ready for the Lego movie. Onward.
