Random Notes from the Sandwich Life
1. The boys were never huge fans of Franklin the Turtle. Ernie and I however, became very fond of the movie Franklin and the Green Knight. In it, he searches for spring.....and I swear to God it sometimes would make us cry....literally.....we would have to wipe our eyes while the boys ignored us. Such longing...and spring seemed to never come....sigh.
2. You can download the Mary Gauthier Live at Blue Rock album here. Be polite and leave a good tip though. It's well worth it.
3. Stacie Huckeba kindly said I could use her pictures from our Rod Picott show here on the blog. What may become one of my all time favorite pictures is of course.....Picott Nation....three people I adore, all in their Rod Picott regalia....life is indeed good sometimes.
And then she did a video of one of my favorite songs....yay!!
4. We're planning a big family night of watching the first episode of the new Cosmos series tonight. Leo has actually agreed to watch it with us. Ernie and I are VERY excited. It's rare that Leo will deign to watch tv with us. The other night he came in as Owen and I were watching a Sherlock and I froze in excitement. I sat very still as he settled next to me and didn't even turn the tv up despite not being able to hear it. Alas, it only lasted five minutes but it was delightful..... gotta enjoy these moments when you can.... It used to be any bad tornado movie would lure Leo into watching with us but Ernie recorded Stonados, a movie about a tornado in Boston that hurls stones or something like that and Leo just looked at us in disgust.... Ahhhh...my baby is growing up, sniff, sniff.....
5. That's all I've got as I seem to be going through a phase of being profoundly dull. My cold is better but my dullness persists.... I guess I need spring....just like Franklin....
