Hot Flashes and Lydia Loveless
The hot flashes Ernie gets from his cancer treatment are coming hot and heavy....uh, so to speak. One clue is when you come downstairs in the morning and, while the temperature outside is in the mid 50's, the living room windows are wide open. It makes for a bracing start to the morning.
Saturday Ernie was pretty tired. It seems that sometimes he's fatigued after he gets his infusion and I guess the zoladex is really kicking in (see hot flashes above). We had tickets for Lydia Loveless at the Rosebowl for that night but I could tell he wasn't feeling up for it. I kinda wanted to go however, as we keep missing her. Owen kept encouraging us to go out (suspicious, I know) and Ernie finally rallied so we ended up heading over to the Rosebowl. Teri and Brian had just gotten there and landed a table...by a window with the blue neon light coming through no less. Loved the show, saw lots of friends, and was so glad we'd ventured out. At one point I texted Owen and thanked him for making us go out. He responded, "Yeah! Good, awesome guys. Luv ya too! Woohoo. I gotto go fangurl. Now bye bye." Life is interesting these days. Thanks to Jeff W and Nick for seeing if we were going, thanks to Lydia for great music, thanks Bob and Teri for the drinks, thanks to the Rosebowl for being the Rosebowl, and thanks to my sweet peas.
