Utter Perfection
Last Saturday we had the pleasure of watching two people we love get married. I must say, it was utter perfection. Yes it rained right beforehand and delayed things a bit....but the rain cooled the horrible heat. Yes, the microphone went out and the musicians had to jump in and figure it out. Throughout it all though....utter perfection. Amy and Mark positively glowed and I noticed a lot of us teared up as they spoke their vows. I just could not have been happier.
The first moment we saw Amy Owen just sighed and said, "Oh, she looks so HAPPY!" I gotta say that boy is a romantic because frankly from that distance she was kind of a white blur. I knew what he meant though. The air was just thick with happiness...I think everyone felt it.
The boys dressed up (and looked stunning if I do say so myself) and not a single complaint was heard about a single thing (unheard of in our household) because they, like us, were so happy for our beloved Amy. When Amy's mother spoke, and her voice when she said with joy, "My Amy!" well.....it couldn't have been more perfect. And when Amy and her mother danced....when Mark's father (his Best Man) spoke.....
Most of all though....watching Amy and Mark....utter perfection.....
And look! They both hugged her!!!
