Rascal

Last night I came home to our beloved Steve Campbell working on our jukebox while Owen supervised. We're still not quite there yet but progress has been made. After Steve left I finished putting lights on the trees (which Ernie had kindly started even though he usually avoids anything to do with ropes or cords or strings). The boys then put the beads on and Owen put the star on top of his tree and Leo put the angel on top of his tree. As they stood their, so tall and grown up looking I could barely believe my eyes, that those are my sweet boys. Lord I couldn't love them more.

Then Rascal ran up to the tree and pulled a strand of lights off.

Sigh.

I'm not so sure about the survival of the Christmas trees this year. The boys and I have already decided that we're not going to put our very favorite ornaments on...no Uncle Mistletoe and Aunt Holly this year, none of my father's Victorian ornaments....especially Owen's favorite, the one that looks like a hot air balloon.

This morning Rascal tried to chew through a strand of lights on the other tree.

This does not bode well....

Remember when we loved Rascal?
