Open Windows! High Schoolers! Stress!
The title of this post pretty much sums it up.
I LOVED having the windows open last night and this morning. I almost got COLD sitting in the yard yesterday evening.
Leo's first day of sophomore year today. I forgot to get a picture of him and he adamantly refused to get out of the car for one. He might look pleasantly happy in this picture but the only reason you can see his face is because he's begging me to stop taking pictures.
Heh.
I feel like a quivering bowl of jelled stress right now. I know. Unpleasant image. Anyway, between work stress, worry about a friend's situation, house concert tomorrow, messy house, unmowed yard, lousy corn, weird lawyer/financial/insurance stuff...just ARGHHHH. I will work on looking at that list and realizing what is important and what is not but....well....sigh.
One delightful little note for C-U history folks....the City of Champaign has put all their aerial maps online. You can pop in your address in and look at maps going back to the 19th century. Our area wasn't mapped until 1924...but our house is right there. I could spend WAY too many hours playing with this.
There's our little house right under the word 'Davidson's.'
In 2008
And 2011. Look how much less tree coverage in my front yard. No wonder my hostas and shade plants are dying or getting burnt. And yet not enough sun for full sun plants. Eh.
O.k...that's all I got....off to work!
