Thanks, Colds, and Moving On

Lord, wouldn't you know...less than a month into the school year and Leo, Owen and I have colds. Blegh. Friday night we could tell Leo was coming down with something. On Saturday I went to lunch with my dear friend Boo and I told her that Leo had a cold and that I hoped I wouldn't get it. "Oh, you will," she said, with complete confidence. "You get every cold that blows into town." I couldn't argue. By late that afternoon I was sniffing and snorting with the best of them. I am feeling moderately better today so off to work I go. Both boys are still home. When Ernie called the school just now they said something was going around. Eh.

Despite feeling lousy yesterday I was thrilled to see folks stepping up to help our dear Richard Hill. He has been ill and can't work right now and really needs some help. He is extraordinarily kind and a good friend so every time I see somebody make a contribution to the gofundme campaign I put together I want to cry. I know you're donating to him, and not me, but I still want to thank everyone. Please take a look at the page and even if you can't help, perhaps you could share it with some who might. He is blown away and more appreciative than you can imagine.

No other news really...been trying to keep my head above water. I've managed to cook some lousy meals....I seem to have lost my cooking spirit. Please give me suggestions on how to recapture it.

On a brighter note....we have, without really intended to, begun booking shows for next year....some nice treats I promise you....starting with THE Jason Ringenberg on April 16. And yes, I know it's Ebertfest...work around it, work around it....

Onward.
