Just A Couple of Random Notes

1. Lord but I love those boys of mine. Yesterday was a day to try one's soul as they say. I think we ended up on the right side of things and I do have to remind myself of all the other things a teenager could be tormenting me, and themselves, with.... Yesterday, since I happened to be furious with my eldest, Owen called me at work and gave me a pep talk, telling my how he loved me, how much other people loved me, what a good job I was doing at work, and as a mother. They always manage to save themselves, these creatures do....

2. This is Leo many years ago. I had just told him he couldn't go into the alley. He was NOT pleased. So he sat right down on the edge of the alley and just stared at me. This is pretty much still where we are today. I do adore him....and it's a good thing.

3. Yesterday morning Owen paused as he was putting his shoes on, and said, "I can't find any musically developed friends." My poor baby. It's tough.

4. I'm SO glad Rod Picott is coming for Pretend Thanksgiving on Thursday. As always, I'm experimenting with a different way to roast the turkey, so bear with us if it's awful. Please join us....it will be a wonderful evening....just message me at thesandwichlife@gmail.com!
