Blepharitis and Tourtiere

So...I have this new thing going on. It's not a big deal but it's an irritant. Over the last year I've had some problems with itchy eyes. A few months back during one of my many colds my eyes watered like crazy. I was constantly wiping them, and it seemed as though the whole eyelid got irritated. It eased up a bit but not much and then I started getting nasty stuff on them in the morning, kind of a Pinkeye Lite. When I saw the eye doctor recently I mentioned it and she looked at it and said I have blepharitis. Sort of sounds like a Dr. Seuss condition, does it not?

I have been obediently trying to soak my eyes daily with warm, wet clothes and wash my eyelids but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. It's nothing serious but my internet research says you can't really cure it so....just suck it up and soak your eyes. Oh, and it's REALLY attractive.

Between that and the seemingly chronic congestion in my eustachian tubes and sinus I feel as though I want to put my head through a carwash or something. Oh well, in the scheme of things it's pretty damn minor, but if anyone has any experience with this let me know.

Other than that I have no entertaining news. I somehow got myself into a blue mood yesterday but Ernie cheered me up and I ran into people I like (hey Angie, hey Laurie) so I felt  happy and relaxed by the time I got home. And today is a Friday of sorts as the boys and I both have tomorrow off. A bit of cooking to do tonight and then we will be catapulted into the holidays tomorrow, because when I make my great-grandmother's meat pie (tourtiere), it is officially the holidays.
