Thus Far
Thus far in the weekend I have yet to leave the house. Owen and I were both down with a stomach bug this week and though I worked on Friday, when I got home I was totally wiped out. I spent yesterday curled up on a living room chair with a fire in the fireplace. Not a bad place to be. Today I woke up with a scratchy throat and have been blowing my nose. We shall see. My house is so filled with dust that it could be allergies. I'm not sure if that's positive thinking or not....ha!
The cds rotating in the player for the weekend have been Aaron Lee Tasjan's In The Blazes, the new Tommy Womack, the Long Ryders' boxed set (thank you Owen) and the new Eric Brace and Peter Cooper. AND it's snowing so despite the scratchy throat and watery eyes I am pretty damn happy.
Random things from the weekend:
Reason #8062 that I love my husband: I was curled up in the media room binge watching old Top Chef Masters and I heard Ernie call out as he walked through the living room, "Should I put another piece of wood on the fire for the cat?" I told him yes, of course. Hattie does love a good fire.
Reason #4078 that I shake my head at my youngest: "Teenagers should just be called lamps because they get turned on all the time."
Much of my laptop perusing was for recipes. I don't have a house concert until April but that doesn't stop me from obsessing. I need a low carb main dish. Any ideas?
