Slogging and Texas

A busy, busy, busy week. Trying to slog through work and life and all that encompasses. Some days are smoother than others is all I can say. I'm trying to focus on getting through this week and weekend. Next Monday Owen graduates from 8th grade and I am taking the day off so I can go and we can take him to lunch after and celebrate. Ernie and I are trying to figure out what to get him. I have NO idea what we got Leo for 8th grade graduation. I texted him yesterday and asked him if he remembered and got a text back that said, "No idea." Me neither. Owen is more about celebratory gestures though so we must decide soon. Ideas are welcome!

Coming up a week from Friday is the last of our spring batch of concerts....and we've got some great Texas songwriting for you. Adam and Chris Carroll will be here and we are really, really looking forward to it. There's a whole different tenor and rhythm to Texas songwriting it seems to me....this should be a really great night. It's will be the perfect kick off to the Memorial Day weekend. So mark your calendar for Adam and Chris Carroll on Friday the 27th. As always the potluck starts at 6:00 but come even if you don't bring any food. There's always plenty. BYOB although we'll have some iced tea no doubt. Go on over to the Facebook event and tell me you're coming so I won't worry!

Some of you might know this song by Hayes Carll but it is in fact Adam Carroll's song....

and another....
