Nostalgia for the Elvis Brothers....

I think I'm getting a cold and thus am pretty much just spending the day holed up listening to various kids, some mine, and some not, play with Lego and Playstation while I sit curled up in my favorite chair with my sweet little laptop.  I'm starting to feel a bit more human...in fact I can't believe that it's only been a week since Judi's funeral and two weeks since she died.  So I'm in a pleasantly melancholy mood, sitting here doing my normal 'glass of wine and youtube' thing.  Can you believe there doesn't seem to be a video of NRBQ doing 'Rain at the drive-in'?  Huh.

Anyway....so....when one is somewhat melancholy and looking to the past one turns to comforting memories and for me those are days listening to music....we sure as hell don't see enough live music these days....

There is something so sweet....and maybe melancholy as well....about this Elvis Brothers clip of Akiko Shinoda.  Just sweet.

And then this one always makes me smile when Brad jumps off the drums and swings right into it....  Ahhh....Brad Steakley....STILL the best drummer in the world.....

And I can't recall if Ernie and I were at Chico's this night but I sure wish we were there right now....
