Phrases I Hate and Authenticity

There are certain phrases that just grate on me unbearably....not entirely with reason mind you but grate they do. Some of it comes with reading too many blogs.....  Here's a brief list:

1.  I digress

There's nothing wrong with this phrase, it's much more elegant than when I write, "so ANYway...." and yet I think it just gets overused so much that it's like nails on a blackboard for me.

2.  easy-peasy

Can't explain it.....just hate it.

3.  I threw up a little in my mouth

O.k....maybe the first time you heard this it was funny but NO MORE!

4.  Rinse, lather and repeat

Again....I guess it's just overused....it's handy, it's cute and I'm over it

What started me thinking about this was reading a blog in which I find the language at odds with whom is purported to write the blog.  Have you ever read the Margaret and Helen blog?  It's funny and while I don't doubt the opinions could come from a couple of 80 year olds, the language is all wrong  And let's face it....I have known liberal feisty 80 year olds----as well as computer and net savvy 80 year olds.  But when I read the blog it completely reads like a 20 or 30 something writing it---pretending to be elderly.   When I see "but I digress" in one of their posts.....my authenticity alarm goes off.....  On one hand I suppose it doesn't matter....you can just read it as fiction....but it takes the pleasure out of it for me....I guess I want fiction presented as fiction. 

What really started me thinking about this was coming across this video.  At first glance I wondered if it was authentic.....  After poking around I guess it is but it made me think about the fact that I automatically wonder about that.....

So....ANYway.....(to use my incoherent take on "I digress") what phrases grate on you?
